Annual Emerson Scholarships
The Pinellas County Gator club awards scholarships each spring to high school seniors who have committed to attending and confirmed enrollment at the University of Florida. These scholarships are made possible by the generous contributions of our Pinellas Gator Alumni and sponsors through events, watch parties, and the Annual Gator Tarpon Fishing Tournament. We appreciate all donations, which are tax deductible.
To date, we have granted over $100,000 in scholarships to more than 125 high school seniors from Pinellas County. Our largest and most anticipated philanthropic event is the annual Gator Tarpon Fishing Tournament, where anglers from all over the Tampa Bay area gather to compete on the open water and raise funds for our scholarships.
We are pleased to announce that we have awarded five $3,000 scholarships to incoming UF students from Pinellas County for 2025!

*Requirements for scholarship consideration*
- Your UF Student ID must be included on the application provided to the Club prior to the submission deadline for consideration.
- NCAA regulations prohibit the Pinellas County Gator Club from granting scholarships to students enrolling as student athletes at UF.
- All applicants will need to submit an unofficial high school transcript (or proof of grades) and copies of their SAT and/or ACT scores.
- All recipients must be present for the Scholarship banquet in order to receive the award (this year’s banquet is set for Wednesday, May 20th at 6:00pm at the Clearwater Yacht Club).
