Annual Scholarships

The Pinellas County Gator club awards scholarships each spring to high school seniors who have committed to attending and confirmed enrollment at the University of Florida. These scholarships are made possible by the generous contributions of our Pinellas Gator Alumni and sponsors through events, watch parties, and the Annual Gator Tarpon Fishing Tournament. We appreciate all donations, which are tax deductible.

To date, we have granted over $100,000 in scholarships to more than 125 high school seniors from Pinellas County. Our largest and most anticipated philanthropic event is the annual Gator Tarpon Fishing Tournament, where anglers from all over the Tampa Bay area gather to compete on the open water and raise funds for our scholarships.

We are pleased to announce that we are offering $3,000 scholarships to incoming UF students for 2025.

2025 Emerson Scholarships are now live! Please click the link below to take you to the application. PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLY:

  2. Download the application and save the file to your computer, DO NOT EDIT THE GOOGLE DOC OR ASK FOR PERMISSION TO EDIT
  3. Students must have a UFID to apply
  4. Students must graduate from Pinellas County and be an incoming freshman for Summer or Fall 2025, these funds will be allotted in the Fall 2025 semester
  5. Send completed application as a PDF or Word Doc with YOUR NAME in the file name to pcgcscholarships@gmail.com
  6.  Deadline for return completed application is Friday, May 2nd, 2025 at midnight

 We will contact the lucky scholarship recipients by email and text in mid-May. You will not be notified if you are not selected. We will not announce the recipients publicly until after our scholarship banquet.

MARK YOU CALENDARS– If you are selected as a recipient you and your family will be invited to our ANNUAL EMERSON SCHOLARSHIP BANQUET on Thursday, June 5th 5:30pm at the Clearwater Yacht Club. Again, recipients will be notified personally through email and text.
