The Pinellas County Gator Club® is proud to announce the 12th annual Orange & Blue Tarpon Tournament. The tournament will be held June 20th, 2026. We are pleased to have the benefit of working with the Old Salt Fishing Foundation to help guarantee a successful catch-and-release tournament that everyone can enjoy while avoiding any harmful impact on the Tarpon.
This tournament aims to bring anglers from across Florida together and put their passion to work for a great cause! Pinellas County Gator Club® is a non-profit 501c3 affiliated organization of the UF Alumni Association and exists to support the mission of teaching, research, and service. The Pinellas County Gator Club® is proud to have awarded over $100,000 scholarships to University of Florida freshmen from Pinellas County. This tournament has successfully grown and has added scholarships each year.
We are excited to announce the return of our signature fundraising event, the 12th Annual Orange and Blue Tarpon Fishing Tournament. All proceeds from the tournament go directly to our Emerson Scholarship Fund to benefit incoming Gator freshmen from Pinellas County. If you cannot BYOB, we can help! Contact us to be connected with a local captain who will supply angler expertise and the boat!
The entire Orange and Blue Tarpon Tournament (Tarpon and Wildcard) is catch and release, submissions by photo.
The additional entry in the Wildcard Tournament allows you to submit any fish (no tarpon, no sharks) into the tournament.
Be sure to bring your Florida Fishing License, plenty of sunscreen, snacks and drinks for while you’re on the water.
Bring cash/credit card so you can participate in the opportunity drawings and silent auction after the event! We have great prizes you won’t want to miss out on this year.
